baking for baby

Julian received this super cool gift basket (thank you Scira family). I refer to it as the baby making food starter kit. This could not have come at a better time. It was full of fun stuff to get us started on making baby food and trying out baby food. There was tupperwear for freezing, icecube trays for freezing, ramkins for cooking/reheating, bibs that easily wipe down, spoons, zebra bowl and plate, baby food pouches, baby food pouch spoons (as shown in previous post), on the go place mats, teething biscuits, and fruit feeders.
I also received this amazing book from my good friend/co-worker Andrea. I decided to give it a try and enjoy a glass (or 2) of wine while doing so.
The first food I made was peas. I do not think that Julian likes them but we are sticking to them for the whole four days. The next batch of food I made was sweet potatoes. We will be trying those next. Today I made a batch of carrots and remembered to take photos.

So far I am enjoying making food and the new adventure. It has been a lot easier than I expected it to be. Plus it is fun to watch Julian eat and make funny faces.

Here is a website that I have also been referencing for making baby food:
