2 Months

Julian is two months old today. I feel like time is flying by. He has started sucking on his hand, not his thumb but his full fist. He is becoming more alert; he is recognizing my voice and Dads voice. About two weeks ago he started smiling and cooing at his toys on his car seat. Everyday he holds his head up a little bit more. He loves standing and using his leg muscles. He is smiling more and more everyday and it makes my heart melt. He is still wearing newborn diapers and is slowly growing out of his newborn clothes. We have his two-month doctor appointment on Monday morning I am dreading the shots :-(

Great Weekend

Friday -
Sancho the French Bulldog was featured on “Oh My Dog Photography's blog” http://www.ohmydogphoto.com/wordpress/?p=1869
While Julian napped in the Ergo, I was able to play with my silhouette machine. I made the bag and label for Adrian’s St. Patrick Day gift. I am loving this machine.
After a trip to the mailbox I was surprised to find my Us Weekly, Oriental Trading catalog, and Zoo News with a Zebra booty on the cover. I got to peek at these while drinking my Pioneer Woman Iced Coffee, yummy in my tummy.
When breastfeeding the little man, I made a four leaf clover out of felt. I think this may become a hair clip. Not sure yet... I might be too old to wear this.
That nights dessert :-)
Last but not least, I tried my wedding rings on before bed and they finally fit. It was an amazing way to end my day.
Saturday -
Julian and I meet up with our friends Olivia and Adrian in the morning. We went to the Temecula farmers market. It was a lot of fun and a great place to take the boys.

After the farmers market our friends Jose and Melissa came over. Abdiel and Jose went and bought a frisbee golf disc set. At our park around the corner from our house they just installed a frisbee golf course. We went down to the park to try it out, I tried playing but I totally suck! So while they played I caddied for them. They all loved that I had the stroller so they could store all there stuff. Jose kept getting his frisbee in the bushes so he earned the name "bush diver"
Sunday -
Abdiel, Julian, and l hung out in bed all morning. It was so nice laying around and being lazy together. When we got up we headed back down to the park, I wanted to work on my frisbee skills. I practiced for a couple hours and I am still horrible. Julian seems to love the outdoors it puts him to sleep and he wakes up happy and rested.

I told Abdiel's co-worker Sean that I would help him with a costume. He is going to a good vs. evil party. He is dressing up as half a devil and half a Angel. I took two shirts and two pairs of pants. I took them apart and re-sewed them back together to make them look half and half. I cannot wait to see what he looks like when fully dressed up.
Overall, it was a great weekend. The weather was amazing and hanging out with our friends made it even better.

Fuzzy Wuzzy was a Bear

okay back to business

Christmas came early this year; actually, this was my push present to myself. (However, my husband did get me the Tiffany Bean necklace in honor of having his little Bean.) I was so excited to get this new toy in the mail. It can cut all kinds of fun stuff the options are endless! I have so many ideas I don't know where to start.
First completed project - St. Paddy's Day
Lately Julian does not believe in taking naps during the day. He cry's and wants to be held. I cannot get anything done, I can barely get a shower in. I am crossing my fingers that  this is just a phase. I cannot really complain because he is sleeping great at night but I would love to have a little break during the day. Growing up I was a hold me baby, my mom would tell me "My hold me is broken." I swore I would NEVER say this to my child and I found myself saying this to Julian during one of his tired fits. Does this mean I am turing into my mother? haha!
This is how I get things done... the good ol' Ergo
The only down fall to the Ergo is if I stop moving he wakes up. You would think I would be super skinny from all the moving around I do but that is not the case.
While Julian napped in the Ergo today I made two Pioneer Woman recipes and both were successes. I love her website and the step-by-step instructions are the best.
iced coffee - http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2011/06/perfect-iced-coffee/
this makes a ton of coffee
meatball sandwiches - http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2010/07/16-minute-meal-3-mini-meatball-sandwiches/
this was a fast and easy dinner and the hubster loved it

Over the river…

♪ Over the river and through the woods to grandmother’s house we go
More like; down the 15 in the carpool lane to G-Ma’s house we go. We made our first trip to San Diego and had our first slumber party at my parent’s house this weekend.
We stopped by my moms work to surprise her with flowers and so she could have her proud grandma moment and share Julian with her coworkers.

We were also able to check out the cool helicopters.
The main reason for our trip to San Diego was to Celebrate my Grandma and Julian’s Great Grandmas 91st birthday. My Grandma does not leave her house as often, so this was her first time meeting Julian. It was such a special day, just to see my Grandma light up when she saw him for the first time. I am so glad that she got to meet him and that we got to share her birthday with her.

My Grandma is my hero.

Look at all the shenanigans we had to bring for just one night. So much stuff for such a small person.

Nap time is CRAFT time!

I started Stroller Strides this week and I am already super sore but no pain no gain! I am loving getting out of the house and meeting new mommies.
Julian ready to go to class
While chatting with a mom she said, “nap time is the new happy hour.” I thought that this was too funny. My version is “Nap time is CRAFT time!”

I am starting to get my house ready for Easter. We are having our families over this year and I want everything to be perfect! I started a couple projects earlier in the week.

Gumball Machine
I choose to paint this white so I could change the ribbon to go with each holiday.
