today was a great day

It has been a great week. First and foremost, Julian is going to sleep quicker and sleeping longer. I thought the day would never come. Today he rolled over from his tummy to his back. My mom was the first one to witness this and then he did it for me. But of course, he would not do it for the video camera.
I went to stroller strides four days this week. It would have been five days but it was a raining too hard on thursday so I went through the starbucks drive through instead and did some house cleaning. I signed up for the joggermom marathon. It is a virtual marathon where you have a whole month to complete 26.2 miles. It was only $10 dollars and you can win some super cool prizes plus they are donating a portion of its proceeds to the American Heart Association. http://joggermommarathon.com/
I played bunco for my first time on thursday night with the Stroller Stride ladies and had a great time. It was nice to get out of the house and have some adult time.
Today was extra great day I went to SS in the morning, then had lunch at Jersey Mikes, from there we went to the lake with our friends to feed the ducks, on our way home we went to sonic happy hour, my mom came over for a slumber party, Abdiel and I went to 5 guys for dinner, it was a perfect day! I got good mail today too! Tess and Erik's wedding invitation, Adrian's thank you card, pacifiers from my sister in law (she swears by them) and my weekly gossip magazine. I love getting good mail. I also love having my mom over for visits. It is so nice to talk about crafting and have extra help with the baby.
I have been doing research to find a local seamstress, I am planning on getting Julian's baptismal gown made from my wedding dress. I have an appointment next weekend to see if it can be done in time {fingers crossed} I am going to try and make a small purse for my God daughters First Communion out of my dress as well... hopefully I will have those pictures to post soon :-)

This week in pictures...

My first real nap in my crib... it only lasted half an hour but it is a start. Sleep has been much better this week. Julian is now sleeping about 6 hours a night! It has been such a great treat. Mom gets some free time. The plan is to move Julian into his crib at 4 months and out of his pack and play.
The caption and facial expression says it all!
Getting ready for Stroller strides. Julian is wearing his workout outfit.
Completed pillow (Baptism gift) with a home made label. My first label :-)
I made these cool gift tags on my machine. I am trying not to buy cards anymore and only use my machine to make them.

Week wrap-up

I am finally getting a chance to catch up, I have been keeping very busy.

Julian turned 3 months old this past week (I need to edit the photos). He had his first laugh and started grabbing his toys on his play mat. He is offically in 3 months clothes and out of newborn clothes/diapers. We starting implementing formula and I think it is helping him to put more weight on. We have been working on tummy time and Julian is slowly enjoying it more and more.
Julians sleep is progressively getting better. He took one nap this week in his boppy and not it my arms... we are making progress! And then he took a couple quick cat naps; one on his play mat, one is his crib, and tonight he has been asleep in his pack in play for over 45 minutes. I could not be happier! I started implementing a night time routine and I think it is helping :-)

We went and saw the Hunger Games which was better then I expected and tried Fat Burger {not so good}

I started reading a new book, Fifty Shades of Grey. My friend refers to this book as "Cougar Porn". It is a good book and very dirty.

I have not been able to craft much but I have started a couple things... Hopefully I can wrap them up by the end of the week. I did however organize all of Julians cards and our Price is Right name tags onto a ring clip.

Easter 2012

We had Easter at our house this year and it went off without a hitch. We did mexican food and everything turned out so good. My MIL (mother in law) made her famous rice and her aunt made her beans (with lard)! It was so yummy! My mom made her hot carrots and they were extra good. The day could not have gone better.

Here are a couple pictures from our day...

Julian's Easter Basket

Julian's First Easter
I know he does not understand Easter or the meaning behind it but this does not mean that mommy cannot enjoy his first Easter. I decided to get some items that will last him many years to come.
We got him a swing for the backyard patio
Dr. Seuss Books

And two other books

A cold pack and an Easter rubber ducky bunny for the bath tub!

Easter was a success and I think that Julian loved his gifts!
