bachelorette shenanigans

My good friend Tess is getting married and this past weekend was her bachelorette party. Here are some of the crafts I did to help celebrate her upcoming big day.

I made peach penis jello shooters. First I started by soaking sour gummy penises in peach pucker {say that five times fast}
Then I threw in some gummy boobs. Because penises and boobs go so well together...
I added the boobs/penises and liquid to the jello mix along with a cup of peach vodka and two cups of water. I refrigerated over night. I use this recipe all the time. This time the consistency was a little weird. I think the gummy's threw things off. If I were to make these again I would soak the gummy's and then add them to the top once the jello was ready to be consumed.

I made bachelorette survival kits.
There was a glow in the dark penis straw and shot glass ring attached to each bag.

There were other goodies inside the bag as well; such as, an eye mask, nail files, gum, hello kitty bandaids, hair ties, ring pops, glow in the dark bracelets, and chips (not shown in the picture).
Inside the bag was water with advil attached. The water bottle was wrapped in duct tape and I added a custom sticker.
I ordered cookies from I love Sugar http://www.facebook.com/ILoveSugarSpecialtyCookies. They came out perfect. I saw the idea for these on pinterest but I knew I would not have the time or patience to tackle this project. I highly recommend ordering cookies from her. She did such a good job and was very reasonable.
The banner I made for the room.
Finally as part of her gift I made her an ornament with her save the date, wedding invitation, and rehearsal dinner invitation.

Baptism Photos

I am so bummed I did not take pictures at the party. I was too busy socializing :-) I tried to put together what pictures I do have of some of the crafts. Next time I have a party I am going to put someone in charge of this. Overall, the day turned out great. Julian did super good and was a happy baby all day even with minimal naps.
I walked into the kitchen and I came back to find some playing with my pom poms!
The flowers (from Sam's club), they lasted almost a whole week in eighty degree weather. The blue buckets were the cookie buckets. We decided to do a cookie bar instead of cake. We had six different types of cookies and chocolate milk and regular milk. This was a total hit. There were barely any cookies left when the party was over.
Thank you pinterest for this great idea. I spray painted these and added twine.
The banner I made the night before the party.
The pom poms the next day. Good thing there was no dew.
The only picture from the party and the guest gifts.
The chalkboard I try to do for every party.
Our family before Mass started.

Ready to celebrate!

5 Months

It is getting harder to take our monthly pictures. Julian is grabbing everything and will not lay still. He is rolling all over the place and trying to crawl. He is able to get his booty in the air but has not figured out how to use his arms. He is almost sitting by himself. He recently started teething which is no fun. In most the pictures he is sucking his lower lip or putting his hands into his mouth. After our photo shoot we put him down for a nap, when he woke up a chunk of his sticker was missing... because he ate it! I wish I would have taken a photo.
Dad was trying to restrict his hands from going into his mouth...
